Announcement
Mika Zibanejad, a Swedish-born professional hockey player on the roster for the
Ottawa Senators, recently joined another line-up. It turns out professional hockey isn’t his only dream — he also has a passion for creating EDM music. In pursuit of that dream, Mika recently signed up with the
Recording Connection Canada as an apprentice-in-training at
Johnny Hall Productions in Ottawa, Ontario!
Mika is currently studying audio engineering and electronic music production under
Eric Eggleston, whose client list includes
Chuck Wild (TV/film composer), ASCAP’s
Ralph Murphy (Nashville), and Mika’s own team, the
Ottawa Senators.
Mika was already known as a rising hockey star before signing with the Senators, having scored the winning goal for Sweden during the gold medal round of the 2012 World Junior Hockey Championships. But these days, he’s also gaining a reputation around Ottawa for his DJ skills at various clubs around town, performing under the stage moniker
“DJ ZBAD!” His apprenticeship with the
Recording Connection can only serve to enhance these skills. Mika Zibanejad is dreaming big and living large!
